Fourth Press Conference for the Film 260 DAYS

The fourth press conference for the film 260 DAYS was held at Hotel Materra in Čepin, attended by the legendary Hollywood actor Armand Assante. Also present were Jakov Sedlar, director of 260 DAYS, Marijan Gubina, author of the novel 260 Days, and Dražen Majstrović, director of the production company 260 DAYS.

At the conference, it was announced that after filming wraps up, we will be entering the highly demanding phase of post-production, which will take place in Hollywood. For this reason, we have extended the crowdfunding campaign until September 1st. If we reach our funding goal, we will be able to hire top-tier artists, internationally recognized and award-winning, to work on the film’s post-production. Therefore, we invite all who are interested to join us and support the second phase of our crowdfunding campaign, which is focused on raising funds for post-production!

After presenting these important updates, the spotlight turned to the star of the conference—Armand Assante. Journalists were eager to hear his thoughts on his time in Croatia, how satisfied he was with his accommodation, how familiar he was with the events of the Homeland War, how he would describe the officer he portrays in 260 DAYS, and which other projects he is currently working on, among many other questions. To the delight of everyone present, Armand Assante displayed an impressive understanding of the events during the Homeland War, as well as the unfortunate fact that such bloody wars seem to erupt around the world every decade or so. As for his accommodation, he expressed great satisfaction with Hotel Materra in Čepin, describing it as a peaceful oasis—exactly what he needs during filming. He considers the role of the officer he plays to be very complex, as the character is highly intelligent but trapped within a military hierarchy, forcing him to carry out actions he doesn’t necessarily agree with.

Do you think Armand Assante will live up to the high expectations for this major role? We have no doubt.
