Numerous readers recommend the book to others, saying that, after reading “260 DAYS,” one realizes that their problems do not justify depression and dissatisfaction with life. It is necessary to emphasize that the novel “260 DAYS” is used as a kind of tool in the development of a culture of peace. Despite the authentic description of war events and the highlighting of the identities of some criminals for the sake of the goal, message, and lifestyle of the author Marijan Gubina, the novel and the author have become an authority on the peace-building scene. The novel is considered one of the most-read novels in Croatia and is often used for school competitions and required reading lists.
