Fourth Week of Filming for 260 DAYS
The film crew of 260 DAYS continues its work into the fourth week, with scenes shot in Gorjani, Đakovo, Punitovci, and recently, Osijek. A highlight was when Hollywood legend Armand Assante, playing a JNA officer, rejoined the team. Filming took place in the courtyard of the historic Osijek Citadel, where Assante performed a pivotal scene. The atmosphere, filled with anticipation, was further energized by the presence of business partners, media representatives, and invited guests.
Assante’s charisma and masterful performance captivated all attendees, earning him a round of applause from the crew, a testament to his exceptional contribution to the film. Director Jakov Sedlar expressed pride in working with such a distinguished artist, emphasizing Assante’s impact on the film’s authenticity. Despite demanding conditions, the cast and crew dedicated themselves fully, ensuring each scene’s quality.
Next week, Tim Roth is set to join the production, and until then, the gallery below offers a glimpse into the intense scenes filmed at the Citadel.

Visit to the Set of the Film 260 DAYS
With the 260 DAYS film shoot moving to Osijek, we opened the set to business partners and the media. Our guests had the opportunity to watch a rehearsal before the actual scene was filmed, featuring none other than the legendary Hollywood actor, Armand Assante.
Armand Assante, who portrays a JNA officer in the film, performed an incredibly important scene in Osijek’s Tvrđa. His outstanding performance on the first day of filming impressed everyone present. He was also pleased with the day’s events, as he shared with us in a brief comment: “My first day of filming was exciting. The crew is fantastic, and I believe the film will be great.”
You can learn more about the event in the report by Televizija Slavonije i Baranje and view photos in the gallery attached.

Fourth Press Conference for the Film 260 DAYS
The fourth press conference for the film 260 DAYS was held at Hotel Materra in Čepin, attended by the legendary Hollywood actor Armand Assante. Also present were Jakov Sedlar, director of 260 DAYS, Marijan Gubina, author of the novel 260 Days, and Dražen Majstrović, director of the production company 260 DAYS.
At the conference, it was announced that after filming wraps up, we will be entering the highly demanding phase of post-production, which will take place in Hollywood. For this reason, we have extended the crowdfunding campaign until September 1st. If we reach our funding goal, we will be able to hire top-tier artists, internationally recognized and award-winning, to work on the film’s post-production. Therefore, we invite all who are interested to join us and support the second phase of our crowdfunding campaign, which is focused on raising funds for post-production!
After presenting these important updates, the spotlight turned to the star of the conference—Armand Assante. Journalists were eager to hear his thoughts on his time in Croatia, how satisfied he was with his accommodation, how familiar he was with the events of the Homeland War, how he would describe the officer he portrays in 260 DAYS, and which other projects he is currently working on, among many other questions. To the delight of everyone present, Armand Assante displayed an impressive understanding of the events during the Homeland War, as well as the unfortunate fact that such bloody wars seem to erupt around the world every decade or so. As for his accommodation, he expressed great satisfaction with Hotel Materra in Čepin, describing it as a peaceful oasis—exactly what he needs during filming. He considers the role of the officer he plays to be very complex, as the character is highly intelligent but trapped within a military hierarchy, forcing him to carry out actions he doesn’t necessarily agree with.
Do you think Armand Assante will live up to the high expectations for this major role? We have no doubt.

Third Week of Filming 260 DAYS
The film crew continued working at full speed. This week was marked by the arrival of two acting legends: Angela Molina and Armand Assante.
Angela Molina, the renowned Spanish actress and winner of 31 international film awards, began her illustrious career with one of the greatest filmmakers of all time – Luis Buñuel. She has worked with many world-famous actors and directors, notably collaborating with Spain’s Oscar-winning director Pedro Almodóvar, in two of his films where she played significant roles. 260 DAYS is her first film to be shot in Croatia, and this is what she had to say ahead of her arrival:
“Thank you to the 260 DAYS production and Jakov Sedlar for bringing me to Croatia for the first time! It has been unforgettable. The script and story are incredible, and I believe the film will be embraced worldwide. It’s an honor to be part of this film and the team bringing it to life.”
Angela Molina
The legendary Angela Molina charmed us all with her grace and exceptional acting! Her performance and charisma will greatly enhance the quality of 260 DAYS! Angela spent three days in Osijek filming her scenes, and last night, another legend arrived on set: Hollywood actor Armand Assante, who will stay for a week. His presence, unmistakable style, and outstanding performance have thrilled everyone on the set.
“My first day of filming was exciting. The crew is fantastic, and I believe the film will be outstanding!”

Second Week of Filming 260 DAYS
After a restful Sunday, the second week of filming 260 DAYS began. A thunderstorm that swept through the region slightly slowed the planned shooting schedule, but the first day of the new week was successfully completed.
We continued filming in Gorjani, once again in Kula Street, where key scenes from the Gubina family house were being shot. These scenes featured the living room, dining room, as well as Marijan’s bedroom. Additional scenes were filmed at dusk and night in Dalj, depicting the Gubina family home, with some scenes taking place in the village and on the road.

The set gathered young Marijan (Will Gober), his father Hinko (Sam Hazeldine), mother Marija (Camilla Rutherford), and sisters Nena (Isabella Dempster), Gabrijela (Florence Bensberg), and Helena (Antea Huljev Žuvan). Joining them were the characters Uroš, Miloš, and Željko. Each sequence added a heavier tone, with the pale, frightened faces of the children and their mother evoking deep empathy from the viewer.

The second week of filming was marked by two significant visits. First, the author of the book 260 Days, Marijan Gubina, made his first personal appearance on set. He expressed how painful it was to watch and hear all these scenes. Reliving the hell of his childhood is not easy, but Marijan also conveyed his deep gratitude to director Jakov Sedlar and the entire film crew, with whom he has boundless trust. He thanked everyone involved in the project, emphasizing that without certain individuals, the project would never have survived.

We were also visited by Marko Mađar from Vinkovci, a passionate admirer of Croatian history, films, and literature. Marko, a 23-year-old young man living with cerebral palsy, came to fulfill his greatest wish – to meet Jakov Sedlar and witness the making of 260 DAYS. His face beamed with indescribable joy, not only because he is a huge fan of Jakov Sedlar’s filmography but also because he is an expert on his work. Marko’s parents are immensely grateful to everyone for giving him the opportunity to create such a cherished memory by visiting the film set.
The film crew is extremely pleased with the progress so far. Work on complex scenes continues, and the pleasant evening temperatures allow us to film outdoors without difficulty. Shooting goes on late into the evening, but the results are more than worth the effort. With each new scene, the excitement grows as we slowly approach the end of this phase of the project. Finally, below is a gallery of photos capturing scenes and behind-the-scenes moments.
